Top 5 Multiplayer Games of 2015

Spread the Word!

I love gaming with my wife and any time we can find a good game to play together is always awesome. Here are our top 5 multiplayer games of 2015.

5. Dying Light

Dying Light is an open world zombie game. It’s like Dead Island, and Mirror’s Edge had a baby. Dying Light is at it’s best when you’re playing multiplayer with friends. Nothing beats running from a horde of zombies with your best friends or loved ones.

4. Resident Evil Revelations 2

Lunaliah and I have put well over 100 hours in this game before we were done with it. We completed every difficulty level, 100% raid mode, and brought all the DLC. Resident Evil Revelations 2 is a good mix between old Resident Evil games and the newer ones. There was never a dull moment in this game.

3. Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires

Here’s another game that we’ve crossed 100 hour mark in. This game is crazy addictive. I love building my own army and conquering the known world with my wife at my side. The create character is back and we can even create our own unique scenarios. Creating a scenario is the high point of the game in my opinion.

2. Borderlands The Handsome Jack Collection

The Borderlands re-release on Xbox One is fantastic. It has four player local co op and includes both Borderlands 2, and the Pre-Sequel with all of the DLC. This is one re-release that I would buy again in a heartbeat.

  1. Yoshi’s Woolly World

Nintendo’s Yoshi’s Woolly World is simply fantastic. There’s no other way to describe it. We don’t need guns, explosions, or monsters to kill to have a good time. This platformer is simple, yet fun in so many ways. It’s not only the best multiplayer game we’ve played this year it’s also one of the best games we’ve played all year long. This is one of the many reasons why you should own a Wii U this year.

I might have to grab Dying light in the steam sales – have an urge for some zombie stomping

If you’re looking for a good zombie game you can’t wrong with Dying Light.

My GF and I have two Xbox One’s, but only one copy of Dying Light. Time to change that, I suppose.

It’s a really fun game on multiplayer. Single player not so much in my opinion.

Yeah, we passed the controller back and forth for a few hours and decided we’d just wait and grab a 2nd copy at some point. We put an absurd amount of time in to Neverwinter this year, and could definitely use a new co-op game. Christmas, perhaps.

If you have a Wii U you could always get Yoshi and have some fun that way.

Neverwinter was fun, but my wife isn’t a fan so I ended up playing alone.

I really enjoyed Resident Evil Revelations 2, but I can understand if that’s not your thing.

Warframe is a great multiplayer game to play if you don’t mind the grind.

We played a bit of Warframe as well. We have a Wii U and usually use it for Mario Kart 8. Enjoyed split-screening Resident Evil 5, so Revelations has been on my list of things to get.. at some point. Can you co-op the campaign or just the raid mode? Haven’t looked in to the details yet.

The campaign has full co op support. My wife and I played through every difficulty together. You should be warned that it’s not like Resident Evil 5’s co op campaign. Second player is limited to using a flashlight and tire iron to fight with.

I thought it was fun, but some people don’t. I actually reviewed it. You can check it out if you want –

I must have missed that review, so I’ll definitely give it a read. Thanks!
