I know this list is a little late, but I decided to play each boss in the game again to see which ones were either over hyped or just really disappointing.
5. Prowling Magus
The Prowling Magus was one of the many boss fights in the game that had multiple enemies helping the boss fight you. This boss fight was very simple and required little to no strategy to beat. The Prowling Magus himself can be killed in just a few simple hits. It does have some dangerous spells at it’s disposal, but you can easily avoid them and get in close for the kill while you either kill his congregation or save them for last.
4. Royal Rat Authority
This was just a disappointing fight from start to finish. First of all this fight is ripped straight from Dark Souls, but instead of you fighting Sif with a badass giant sized blade you’re fighting a giant fucking rat. There is little to no reason to ever want to fight this thing again.
3. Guardian Dragon
When I first encountered the Guardian Dragon I was really excited. One minute later it was dead and I was staring at my TV like wtf just happened. I love the dragons in Dark Souls and the fact that this boss was so easy to beat really pissed me off. The Ancient Dragon made up for this fight, but it didn’t change the fact that this was one hell of a disappointing boss fight. If you’re good you can kill him before he even gets off the ground because when the boss fight starts he’s just laying on the ground. Great job with this boss From Software…
2. Royal Rat Vanguard
1. Looking Glass KnightThis boss was over hyped. I think everyone was looking forward to fighting this guy when they first brought Dark Souls II. The Looking Glass Knight is big and slow and you can see all of his moves coming from a mile away. The fact that he was advertised as some big, bad boss fight only made it that much worse when I kicked his ass from one side of the castle to the other. He only hit me a single time and that was because I took a sip of my soda and took my eyes off of the TV. I can’t even begin to describe the huge letdown this boss fight was. I expected a lot more from this guy, but that didn’t happen.
This wraps up my list of top 5 worse bosses in Dark Souls II. I love the game to death, but it doesn’t change the fact that most bosses can be beat rather easily if you know what you’re doing.
