The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III was a gigantic disappointment. It introduced us to six brand new characters to play as, but it was lacking in just about every area of the game. Van Helsing: Final Cut seems to add to the disappointment that was Van Helsing III.
Van Helsing: Final Cut is the entire trilogy of The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing in one giant sized game that will take us over 50 hours to complete. The question is will we want to complete it? Van Helsing III was the weakest game in the trilogy. It had a butchered skill tree, uninteresting characters, and most importantly… Van Helsing wasn’t in the game.
In previous Van Helsing games you could play as a Hunter. The Hunter class is your classic Van Helsing character. In Van Helsing III they took him out and replaced him with a gunner only type character. He could no longer use swords because the big tanky guy wearing plate armor used a sword and shield. The entire trilogy will not play like Van Helsing III and I honestly don’t think I want anything to do with it anymore.
I don’t see myself jumping back into Van Helsing unless I’m playing the first two games in the series. If you want to play a great Van Helsing game play the first two games. Don’t bother with the third one because it’s still broken and it lacks a lot of content when compared to it’s predecessors.
What do you guys think? Are you interested in another Van Helsing game?
