I haven’t done much writing in the last two months. I usually try to write everyday, but some times real life gets in the way and screws my schedule up.
2016 has been the most stressful year I’ve had in a really long time. Things have been really shitty and they don’t seem like they’re going to get better any time soon and that’s okay because I’ve learned how to turn a bad situation into a decent one.
My wife had a mental breakdown a few months ago and everyday has been spent making sure she’s getting better and healthy again. It’s been a stressful situation, but we’re slowly putting things back together. Taking care of my wife is my number one priority. Lunaliah has been doing really well these last few weeks and even started gaming with me again.
On the gaming side of things I honestly haven’t played much. If I’m not on Dark Souls III I’m watching football or playing princess with my daughters. I’m slowly making my way through Fallout 4 for the second time and I’m really enjoying it. I can’t wait to jump into all of the DLC that I missed out on. I’m using a bunch of mods and I’m going through the game with a luck/charisma build with a few points in strength for the carry weight bonuses.
I re-downloaded Skyrim and I really want to jump back into it, but I want to finish Fallout 4 first so I mostly just start it up to take screenshots and post them on Facebook. I have 287 mods installed in Skyrim and 80% of them are graphics mods. My Skyrim game has never looked better.
I tried No Man’s Sky and put about three hours into before I realized it wasn’t for me. It’s a terrible game and it should be a crime to release a early access game that’s missing so many features that were promised to be in it. I do want to review No Man’s Sky, but I don’t think I want to go through 40+ hours of boredom just yet.
I took a huge leap of faith and purchased two copies of Battleborn for $14 total. Since I only paid $7 for my copy I’ll admit that it’s not as bad as it was when I played the open beta. The gameplay is actually really good, but I do have some criticisms about the game too. I’ve decided to go ahead and review that game since I’ve made it pretty far in the story and multiplayer portions of the game. I only have 10 hours in the game so far. I want at least 30-40 before I write my review.
I recently got back into Warframe again and it’s changed a whole lot since I last played it a few months ago. The entire galaxy map has been overhauled along with some gameplay enhancements and a entirely new arcwing experience. I really have to get used to the new arcwing overhaul, but I like it. I also really love the new galaxy map, but don’t like the new way to farm for prime gear. It’s a lot harder now in my opinion and adding more grind to a grindy game will turn some casual players away from the game.
I also decided to continue writing my top 10 games for every year that I’ve been gaming. I completed my top 10 games of 1991 and if you guys want to check it out just click here.
I’ve been thinking about adding music to my blog, but I’m not sure yet. I already have a lot on my plate so it most likely won’t happen any time soon. Maybe next year if everything goes well.
I finally turned my Netflix back on and was immediately disappointed when I learned that two members of Criminal Minds wouldn’t be returning to the show. I know I’m really late about this topic, but that’s because I don’t watch TV at all. Hotchner, and Morgan are both gone and now I’m left wondering what’s next for the show. I have no interest in Criminal Minds without both of those guys. Hotchner was the glue that held the team together so how will they replace him? I don’t want them to and honestly I’m not interested in the show without Thomas Gibson in it.
I guess I need to find another cop show to watch…
That’s all I’ve been up to lately. What about you guys?
