I’ve been gaming a lot since Friday. I had one of those rare weekends to myself because my kids were gone so I decided to share what I’ve been playing with everyone.
It’s a rare thing when I can sit down and play games during the day. For the last three days I’ve been doing just that. I had one of those rare weekends without kids and I decided to take advantage of that by playing some of my favorite games.
The Witcher 3:
I’ve been playing through this game for about a month now and I still haven’t made it to Blood and Wine yet. Why? Because I can only average about 2 hours a day in this game before I have to stop playing. Other times I distract myself by playing something else entirely. I did sit down and play the living shit out of The Witcher 3 yesterday and reached level 31. I can officially start any expansion I want, but I decided to complete the main story first since I’m at the end of it.
The grind up to 31 has been a tough one, but I’ve enjoyed the hell out of it. I can’t wait to start Blood and Wine in a few more days.
Dragon Age Inquisition:
Dragon Age is my second favorite franchise in gaming. I jumped back into this game after taking a year off and I’m currently playing through it for the first time as a warrior. All of my previous playthroughs have been as a mage. I’m trying to change that by purposely playing as a warrior and later on as a rogue class. It’s hard because I really love mages in Dragon Age, but I’ll manage.
I’m about 60 hours in my new playthrough and I still have a long way to go. I’m only at the Exalted Plains and my team is pushing level 13 or 14. I just completed all of the requirements to become a champion and I plan on redoing my skills once I start the game up again tonight. I’ve been playing more Dragon Age than any other game lately.
I jumped back into The Division with no problems. I thought I would be rusty or wouldn’t want to play it, but that wasn’t the case. I helped level my wife’s character up to 30, gave her some good gear and I’m about to help her complete the last story mission in the game. After that we’re going to tackle some Underground missions and hopefully I’ll be gear score 200 pretty soon. I’m currently gear score 191 so I’m not too far away, but the random loot drops have not been in my favor today. Hopefully I’ll get there soon though because I really want to join the 200 gear score club :).
I’ve been thinking about buying my first NBA game since forever and getting into that since there’s no Madden on PC. I really wish EA would give us another Madden game, but I know that’s never going happen. Hopefully I’ll like whatever sports game I decide to buy next on PC, but I know it won’t scratch that Madden itch that I have.
I also really want Tokyo Mirage Sessions, but not enough to pay $60 for it. I don’t mind waiting for a price drop, but I’ll admit it’s going to be a pretty hard wait.
I finally brought Star Wars Battlefront, but haven’t played nearly enough to give my opinion on it. It’s jaw dropping beautiful and plays great, but I only have 2 hours of gameplay in it and I don’t plan on playing anymore until I finish one of the games I mentioned above. I also don’t like playing by myself so I’m waiting for a friend of mine to buy the game so we can play it together.
Happy Independence Day everyone! I’m not really celebrating it today because I’m nursing my youngest daughter back to 100%. She hurt her head a while back and it’s healed up nicely, but I don’t want her around fireworks until she’s 100% again.
That’s about all I’ve been up to lately. What you guys been up to this weekend?
